It has been more than half a century since Poland participated in an international mission in Indochina in 1953, the first international mission with the participation of Polish forces - observers. Since then, Polish soldiers have participated in more than 60 missions. Presently, Polish military contingents (PMC) are participating in peace missions and operations in Afghanistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo and Iraq.
